- 2 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/3 c. dark brown sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. pecan pieces
- 1/2 t. vanilla
- Combine syrup, sugar, and water in a saucepan over medium heat
- Bring to a boil; boil for 1 minute
- Remove from heat
- Stir in pecans and vanilla
- Pour into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space
- Adjust caps
- Process 10 minutes in a boiling water bath
- Yields about 4 half pints
- Serve over pancakes, waffles or french toast
